Just wrapped a short film I’ve been gaffing called “Relationship Wrecked” We finished out our last shooting day with an interior house party scene which involved a 360 Steadicam move. This posed a challenge on the micro budget shoot. I had to get creative and rig Kino Flos to the ceiling as well as replace the existing fluorescents with daylight color temperature tubes. The last shot was a night exterior and since we were shooting with a C300 we were able to get away with a mere 2 1200W HMIs, some diffusion, and some tungsten fills. Budget film making always presents a new challenges and twists that force me to perfect my skills and make the most out of what I have.
