Multicam Class Event

Today was very interesting. There was a pedal cart race around the communications building parking lot so that the multicam class could learn how to cover a race. The day went relatively smooth. The engineering team got there at 6:30 and made sure all the gear we had been prepping for the past 2 weeks was ready to go when the students arrived at seven. We began building and by 10:30 we had the fly in, all 9 cameras built and white balanced, and all the audio and IFBs checked. Everything went smoothly until it began to rain. I called over the radio to the rest of the engineering team and we quickly began strike so that none of our expensive equipment was ruined. Within 20 minutes we had everything back inside just in time for the torrential down pour. We got the truck and the studio rolled back over to “normal” mode and were ready for the directed study that was to shoot later tonight. I love the engineering team I work with!
